Frenemies
2023 was the off-year between the Olympics and the World Championships, though the World Cup would be held this year in Japan, as both it and the Grand Champions Cup always were. Argentina would very likely be coming to the World Cup later in September, but right now was vacation time for Tooru. He had just finished spending a couple of days with his parents, letting them fuss over him, told his nephew all the cool stuff that was in Argentina, and held his new niece for the first time (and was spit up on by her more than once).
Next was to check up on Iwa-chan for a surprise-not-really-a-surprise visit! (AKA, he said he was coming, and Iwaizumi told him not to bother and that they’d get together after work, but Tooru knew he’d be sleepy by then because of the time zone difference.) And maybe, if he was lucky, run into Shoyo too, as he knew his friend was visiting too, but they didn’t really get to compare their schedules.
“Iwa-chan~” He called out as he saw his friend in the lobby, talking to Miya Atsumu, Oikawa’s third least favorite person. He did his best not to glare at him and beamed at his best friend.
