Unrequited Love?

Kaijou and Seirin had just had their first practice match, which was shaping up to be a tradition of sorts. This time, Kaijou had gone to Seirin. The gym was nice, newer then Kaijou's but maybe not as big.

He was breathing heavily, but smiling broadly. It always felt good to play, even if it was just a practice match and they weren't going all out. After all, he wanted to keep some of his new tricks up his sleeves, just like he was sure Kagami and Kuroko were hiding some of their new tricks too. This year's match had ended in a draw. Better than last year's practice match, which had ended in Kaijou's loss by two points.

Just thinking about Kuroko made Kise look over to the Seirin team, focusing in on the smaller boy.

For awhile now Kise had realized that he had feelings for Kuroko. Kise had looked up to Kuroko for awhile, but it wasn't really until after the Winter Cup that Kise realized he was probably in love with Kuroko.

He took a towel that one of the first years offered him. "Thanks," he said absently. He scrubbed at his face, his thoughts racing. He had been thinking about Kuroko a lot lately, and seeing him only brought those thoughts back to the surface, only pushed aside when the game had begun. Now with the game over he couldn't focus. The warm glow in his chest that came whenever he thought about Kuroko was back with a vengeance.

The Kaijou team was gathering their things and getting ready to board the bus. He told the first year that he'd be along in a bit and began to head over to the Seirin team.

"Kurokocchi~" he called out. No time like the present, he thought. He didn't know if Kuroko would return his feelings, but he was hopeful. The time Kuroko had cheered him on while he went up against Haizaki stood out in his mind.

"Kurokocchi! You got a minute?"

Kise can't help but wonder if Kuroko's thinking about his dick (which, in his opinion, is better looking than Aomine's, and he could, and has, taken a better dick pic). He very quickly puts a pin in that thought bubble.

He's also the least likely person Aominecchi would send it to.

Murasakibaracchi would probably tell Aominecchi it looked like food to mess with him.

He is trying not to think about it.

I think that would be the hit to the ego Aomine-kun needs.

Def makes two of them.

And Kise's failing. So he has some plans to distract himself from that later.

If me telling him it looked ugly as sin didn't work, I doubt it being compared to food will put a dent in his ego. Unless it was something small.

A croquette would be a particularly damaging one, I think.

Oh man, I'd love to see his reaction to that.

Being in the same room to hear him sputter would be ideal. But my imagination will simply have to suffice.

I kinda almost wish he'd be dumb enough to put it in the group chat. Just to see how the others react. Sei said he'd use the scissors emoji.

Did Kagamicchi ever forgive Sei for that btw?

Akashi-kun can be quite funny sometimes.

And yes, he did. It just took some time.

He has a very quiet sense of humor compared to the rest of us.

There's a lull in the conversation before he returns.

So what have you been up to? Aominecchi mentioned you've been hanging out with him and Kagamicchi a lot.

Studying mostly. Though we're still far out from the national test, I figured I might as well while there is downtime. A very boring summer vacation.

Yeah, I'm studying for that, too. Dad wants me to take it just in case, so I agreed. I also have to take SATs and ACTs too. Lots of tests. boo. =(

I certainly don't envy you. At least you still have quite a bit of time.

Tests are the worst.
Maybe if I tell Midorimacchi that his shots are super awesome, he'll let me use his pencil when I take the SATs and ACTs (why the US has two, I have no idea.)

He laughs a little at that.

I think it would be easier to appeal to his sense of studiousness and say you simply want to make sure you've done all you can.
