meteor_javelinSo, Noel had been nursing a bit of crush on Hope since he had met him. But there was never time to really act on it. Add to it, he never really had the experience to recognize exactly what he felt. He mixed it up with how he felt about Yeul and Serah and at one time, Caius, but there was something different about how he felt about Hope.
He didn't really understand it until after he had been around people more. Saw people in relationships or and talked with Snow about Serah. And then Hope was missing, and he... wasn't in the best place by then either. Yuel's death, Serah's death, the way Snow didn't blame him, it had all become too much.
But Lightning saved him. Saved them all. After that, he and Yeul had settled in and made a home as brother and sister.
And then Hope came to visit, and one thing led to another, and Noel admitted his crush on the other man and got a date out of him too.
So he was waiting for Hope at the restaurant near his place. He hadn't been to it, hadn't been to a restaurant period, really. There was never the time before. It was nice. Weird decorations on the wall, he was staring at paddle that had the local semi-pro basketball team's logo on it. Next to that was a large nutcracker wearing a jersey of the same team. 'Family style' was what the waitress had called the place. He was looking around for something else to look at when he saw Hope walk in. With a grin, he raised his hand high and waved him over. "Over here, Hope!"
