Something had happened for the first time in a long time.
Someone had asked Osamu out on a date. It was not a hook-up, which was uncommon, but it happened thanks to Grindr and bars whenever Osamu felt like putting himself out there. No. This was an actual date with someone he had been flirting with ever since the man moved his business into the storefront a few doors down from Miya Onigiri. He had also played volleyball before retiring after high school.
Osamu hadn't dated since he and Kita had their more or less civil breakup a year after graduating high school. They were still good friends, but it had hurt, and watching his brother go through his romantic turmoil only made Osamu decide that waiting until he was a bit older and getting his business established before pursuing romance was the best option.
Now, someone had asked him out. Someone he liked, had inside jokes with, complained about employees with, and played in a neighbor league with. And was attractive. Very attractive. This Saturday, a nice dinner, a movie, and then... well.
So, he panicked. And he did the one thing he swore he'd never do the first time he saw Atsumu answer an interviewer's question about romance, called his brother for advice.
He was already regretting asking for it when he opened the door to let his brother into his apartment. "If I said I don't need your help anymore, you wouldn't listen to me, would you?"
